A foreign professor from India conducted a seminar for doctoral students

On November 10, 2025, a foreign professor Dr. Nakul Parashar, co-founder and managing partner of S&N Solutions and a trustee and CEO of Shanti Foundation Global, arrived at Turan University as part of the incoming academic mobility program. Dr. Nakul Parashar is an international specialist in scholarly communication and academic publishing with over thirty years of experience at leading global publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Taylor&Francis, Kluwer, and Pearson. He has extensive experience developing and improving publishing workflows, implementing IT technologies and digital tools to improve efficiency and quality, and is a strong advocate for the use of new technologies in editorial and production activities.

S&N Solutions (India), where Dr. Nakul Parashar is a co-founder and CEO, provides strategic consulting services to universities in Asia and Europe in the field of academic and scientific publishing. Throughout his career, Dr. Parashar has dedicated himself to the development of scientific publications and the popularization of science. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Vigyan 2047 and two other popular science monthlies in Indian languages, and serves as a Trustee and CEO of Shanti Foundation Global (India).

At Turan University, Dr. Nakul Parashar held a seminar for PhD students entitled “Publish Smart: Preparing and Submitting Research Articles to Scopus and Web of Science Journals” (in English). The professor shared with the students the specifics of preparing and publishing articles in highly ranked international journals. The goal of the seminar was to provide participants with practical guidance on the entire publication process, from manuscript preparation to the post-acceptance stage. The seminar covered issues such as selecting an appropriate journal, the structure of IMRaD, principles of ethical peer review and publication, interaction with reviewers, and improving English for non-native speakers. Participants were provided with templates, checklists, and the English Survival Toolkit to increase the success of publications in Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journals. At the end of the seminar, participants were awarded certificates.
