Educational Project Competition “Boundless Kazakhstan”

Turan University invites school students (grades 10–12) and college students of the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in the annual educational project competition “Boundless Kazakhstan”, aimed at developing creative potential, research skills, and professional orientation of applicants.

 

The competition is held among future students who believe in themselves, strive for success, and want to receive an opportunity to study with a discount for the first year at Turan University.

STAGES OF THE COMPETITION

 

Stage 1 — Participant Registration (online)

Participants complete the form and choose the field for which they will create a video.

 

 

Stage 2 — Video Creation (online)

 

Each participant or team prepares a video on one of the proposed topics corresponding to the chosen program.

Video Regulations and Requirements

 

Duration: up to 4 minutes (optimal 2.5–3.5 minutes)

 

Mandatory content requirements:

 

  1. At the beginning, the topic must be clearly stated (spoken or in captions).
    Example: “The topic of our video is ‘Psychology of communication: how to understand people.’”
  2. The video must correspond to one of the educational programs.
  3. Content must be clear, useful, and engaging for school and college students.
  4. The video must include a conclusion or motivational message.
    Example: “Each of us can choose a profession that inspires!”
  5. Use of photos, videos, subtitles, music, and graphics is allowed if copyright is not violated.
  6. Format: horizontal, Full HD (1920×1080).

 

 

Design recommendations:

 

  • Opening: short intro (logo, title, participants, school/college).
  • Main part: examples, interviews, scenes from studies or practice.
  • Ending: memorable phrase (“The world awaits those ready to explore!” etc.).
  • Music: light background, not distracting.
  • Optional end credits: authors, school, specialization.

 

 

Evaluation Criteria (max 100 points)

2 Informativeness and accuracy It contains reliable information, facts, clear explanations, and links to the educational program. 0–10
3 Originality and creativity of presentation An unusual idea, a creative script, and unconventional solutions. 0–10
4 Video and audio quality Clear video, good voiceover, appropriate music, and well-edited content. 0–10
5 Video logic and structure A clear introduction, main body, and conclusion are present; the sequence is logical. 0–10
6 Emotional impact The video is engaging, inspiring, and holds the viewer’s attention. 0–10
7 Teamwork The distribution of roles is clear: scriptwriter, camera operator, editor, announcer, etc. 0–10
8 Relevance and practical significance Reflects current professional trends and benefits viewers. 0–10
9 Presentation and speech culture Literate, clear speech, consistent with the style of the educational content. 0–10
10 Bonus points from a professional (expert assessment) Additional 0-10 points for overall impression, professionalism, original idea or emotional effect. 0–10

 

 

Submission Requirements

 

All videos must be submitted by December 5 to the email: beskrainiy.kazakhstan@turan-edu.kz

 

 

Stage 3 — Award Ceremony (offline)

 

Every participant will be invited to the official award ceremony at Turan University from December 8 to 12.

 

During the ceremony, we will present diplomas, gifts, and prizes, and express gratitude to all participants.
In addition to the main prizes and tuition discounts, valuable gifts will be raffled among all participants, including university souvenirs, branded sets, and gift certificates.

 

 

PRIZES — TUITION DISCOUNTS

 

Winners receive discounts for the 1st year of study:

 

  • 1st place — 15%
  • 2nd place — 10%
  • 3rd place — 5%

 

Projects from previous years are not accepted.
