Guest lecture “High-Load Systems: Java-Based Solutions” for students of the “Information Systems” and “Intelligent Robotics” programs

On October 31, 2025, a guest lecture titled “High-Load Systems: Java-Based Solutions” was held in room 317 for 2nd-year students of the Information Systems and Intelligent Robotics programs.

The speaker was Olzhas Kaidar, Senior Software Development Expert at Altel/Tele2. During the session, the speaker discussed the fundamental principles of building and scaling high-load systems, the use of microservice architecture, and common mistakes encountered when designing server-side solutions.

After the lecture, students actively asked questions, showing great interest in the practical aspects of developing high-load systems. They were particularly curious about real project examples from Altel/Tele2, technologies and tools used to ensure scalability and fault tolerance, as well as the future of microservice architecture and the most in-demand skills for beginner developers aiming to work in backend development and the telecom industry.

The organizer of the lecture is Yekaterina Romanovna Kim, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor at the Higher school of Information Technology of Turan University.
