“Wolf Cubs Debate VIII”: The First Victories of Young Debaters

On October 26, 2025, Turan University hosted the annual traditional debate tournament “Wolf Cubs Debate VIII.” This event became an important platform for novice debaters who are just taking their first steps in the world of discussion and argumentation.

This year, the main goal of the tournament was to foster young people’s interest in debates, develop a spirit of competition, and enhance their public speaking skills, critical thinking, and leadership qualities.

Throughout the day, participants debated on various topics, confidently defended their arguments, and responded to their opponents’ counterarguments. The tournament became a true school of experience for young speakers, giving them a powerful new impetus for growth.

Following the results of the tournament, the winners were determined and awards were presented in the following categories:

The “Wolf Cubs Debate” tournament is held annually at Turan University and makes a significant contribution to the development of the debate movement in Almaty, the discovery of new talents, and the promotion of a strong culture of discussion.
