On November 27, 2025, a meeting with professional traveler Ilya Malyshev was held in the large assembly hall of Turan University for students majoring in Tourism. The Tourism Research Institute and the Higher School of Tourism and Geographical Sciences organized the meeting.

Ilya spoke about his experiences traveling around the world and the unique challenges of interacting with residents of 40 countries.

One of his key experiences traveling through Europe and Latin America was using a minimal budget to travel through effective volunteering.

After a two-hour lecture and numerous questions from students, Professor V.N. Vukolov, Director of the Tourism Research Institute at Turan University, presented Ilya Malyshev with his new monograph, “Life as a Happy Tourist Journey.”
