On January 14, 2026, an official meeting with representatives of the international public organization Pacific Asia Society (PAS) was held at Turan University, resulting in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding focused on the development of cultural and volunteering cooperation.
Pacific Asia Society is an international public organization operating in the Asia-Pacific region and globally. The main goal of PAS is to promote international cooperation among young people, strengthen intercultural understanding, and support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The organization implements cultural, volunteering, educational, and social initiatives that bring together young people from different countries.
The PAS delegation included President Mr. Kim Bumsoo, Vice Presidents Mrs. Lee Jieun and Mr. Jung Kiyoung, PAS Team Leader Mr. Chung Kyubaek, Advisors Mr. Shin Seungman and Mr. Kim Yunsik, and Deputy Director Mr. Kwon Dohan.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed prospects for joint implementation of cultural projects, international volunteering programs, youth initiatives, forums, training sessions, and events aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue and social responsibility.
The signing of the Memorandum marks an important step in strengthening Turan University’s international relations and developing partnership with Pacific Asia Society in the fields of cultural exchange and volunteering.
