The University hosted an official meeting with representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty — Consul General Tugba Alan Özdenfedakar and Education Attaché Shukur Köse.
During the visit, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in the fields of science and higher education. Particular attention was given to strengthening institutional partnerships, expanding academic mobility for faculty members, and implementing joint research projects and internship programs.
The participants also explored opportunities for launching dual-degree programs, preparing joint academic publications, and participating in international grant initiatives.
The guests were introduced to the activities of the Turan Academy operating within the University. A presentation highlighted the Academy’s educational, research, and analytical projects, as well as its international partnerships. The representatives of the Consulate General positively noted the systematic approach to international cooperation and the alignment of initiatives with contemporary educational standards.
Expanding international engagement remains one of the University’s strategic priorities. Special emphasis is placed on creating opportunities for academic mobility of students and young researchers, enhancing professional competencies, and fostering integration into the global educational space. In this regard, strengthening partnerships with leading higher education institutions of the Republic of Türkiye is viewed as a promising direction.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in further developing cooperation and implementing joint initiatives in science, education, and academic exchange.
