Off-Site Event For International Students: Visit to the Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen

On December 1, international students from South Africa, Cameroon, and Turkey took part in an off-site educational visit to Panfilov Park.

The excursion was aimed at introducing students to the history of Kazakhstan and the significant events of the Great Patriotic War period. Participants learned about the heroic feat of the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen, whose courage and self-sacrifice became symbols of resilience and patriotism. Special attention was given to the importance of preserving historical memory and honoring the legacy of previous generations.

The international students noted that such events help them better adapt to life in Kazakhstan, gain a deeper understanding of the country’s culture and traditions, and feel more connected to the university community.

One student from Turkey shared his impressions:

“It was a very impressive visit. We learned a lot about the history of Kazakhstan and saw how carefully the memory of heroes is preserved here. Such events help us better understand the culture of the country.”

Off-site events of this format contribute not only to expanding academic knowledge but also to fostering intercultural understanding, respect for historical heritage, and strengthening friendships among students from different countries.
