Programming, Robotics and Telecommunications Olympiad Held at Turan University

Turan University hosted an Olympiad in programming, robotics and telecommunications for students of grades 9–11 and college students from Almaty and the Almaty region. The event brought together talented and motivated participants interested in developing their skills in information technology, engineering and modern digital solutions.

The aim of the Olympiad was to identify and support gifted students, foster their interest in IT, robotics and telecommunications, and develop practical competencies in digital and engineering technologies. The Olympiad was held in two stages: an online test and an in-person practical round.

More than 120 students took part in the online testing stage. As a result, 71 participants advanced to the second, in-person round. In total, representatives of 20 educational institutions were involved in the Olympiad.

During the in-person round held on February 21, 2026, participants completed practical competition tasks in their chosen fields.

In the Programming track, participants solved algorithmic and practical tasks using recommended programming languages.

In the Robotics track, contestants worked on the Arduino UNO platform, completing tasks involving microcontroller programming, sensors and actuators.

In the Telecommunications track, participants performed theoretical and practical tasks related to configuring and analyzing telecommunications and network systems, data transmission modeling and digital network technologies.

The Olympiad provided an opportunity to assess both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in a competitive environment.

Following the results of the competition, the jury determined the winners and prize-winners in each category.
