Turan Film Academy hosts III International Turan Film Festival

The III International Turan Film Festival, taking place in Almaty from April 27 to May 02, 2026, is now officially open for film submissions.

Festival Programs:

• Main Competition – open to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year undergraduate students, as well as Master’s students;
• Best First-Year Film (“Ainalayin”) – dedicated to films created by 1st year undergraduate students (the project must be produced and completed during the first year of study).

How to Submit:

All entries must be submitted via FilmFreeway (the link is available below). Please ensure that your film link is active and accessible.

Requirements: the festival is open exclusively to student short fiction films.

• Maximum running time of the film: 30 minutes.
• Subtitles: Films selected for the program must include Kazakh subtitles if the original language is different. Films in Kazakh must be provided with English subtitles.
• Format: .mov (ProRes) or .mp4 (H.264).
• Resolution: Full HD (1920×1080 px).
• Audio: AAC (320 kbps).

Submission Deadline: April 12, 2026.
