Opening of the photo exhibition “Whisper of the mountains”

On December 11, 2021, at the University of Turan was the opening of the photo exhibition “Whisper of the Mountains”, prepared by the Department of “Tourism and Service” with the support of the Research Institute of Tourism University “Turan”.. The exhibition is dedicated to the International Mountain Day, which has been celebrated annually since 2004. This year the theme was “Sustainable mountain Tourism”.

One of the main factors for the sustainable development of mountain tourism is the training of professional personnel. Specialists in the field of tourism have been trained at Turan University since 1992. It is one of the first universities to open the Faculty of Tourism in Kazakhstan. Special attention is paid to the tourist and sports training of students, which takes place on the slopes of the Ile Alatau mountains. For many graduates of our department, mountains become the meaning of life and a platform for professional activity.

The purpose of the exhibition is to introduce the viewer to the peculiarities of training specialists in mountain tourism at the University “Turan”.

The exhibition presents photographs of students and graduates of the Department of Tourism and Service. A special place is given to the works of Vitaly Dvoretsky, a graduate of the bachelor’s and master’s degree educational program “Tourism”, a talented photographer and operator.

The exhibition is divided into three sections:

1. Photos from practical classes on tourist and sports training and mountain hikes of students of the department “Tourism and Service”
2. Photos of Vitaly Petrovich Dvoretsky
3. Himalayan series of photographs by Vitaly Dvoretsky

The opening was attended by graduates and faculty of the department, relatives and friends of Vitaly Dvoretsky, representatives of the media.

The exhibition will last until January 30, 2022.
