March 18 foresight session «Micro Qualifications: Expanding opportunities for lifelong learning and employment»

The Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Center of the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NCE «Atameken», universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign universities, industry associations and profile enterprises participated in the foresight session. Among the participants is the head of the Department «Tourism and Service» of the University «Turan», Ph.D. Galiya Shauketovna Fayzullina.

The purpose of the foresight session is to determine micro-qualifications for graduates of the higher and postgraduate educational programs groups on the basis of foresight studies of the labor market and forecasting the need for new competencies, which expand the possibility of their employment.

In the group of the educational program «Restaurant business and hotel business», the main trends in the demand for competencies were identified on the basis of labor market research in the restaurant business and hotel business. Some answers have been found to the question: how to train personnel for the industry in order to provide micro qualifications demanded by the market.

In addition to the main program, the participants got acquainted with the production base and classrooms for students of the OP «RDGB» of the Almaty Technological University.
