Classes conducted by the foreign visiting professor Roland Giese (University of Applied Sciences Zittau-Gerlitz, Germany)

From September 26 to October 4, 2022, classes on “Foreign management experience” course for PhD students were held at Turan University. The visiting foreign professor, Doctor of Economics Roland Giese from the University of Applied Sciences Zittau-Gerlitz (Germany), traditionally conducts these classes.

 

Roland Giese is an Honorary Professor and Member of the Board of Trustees of Turan University. The long-term cooperation between the University of Applied Sciences Zittau-Gerlitz and Turan University is expressed in the external academic mobility of students and teaching staff.

 

Classes on “Foreign management experience” course were held in a modular format. During the classes, Professor Giese shared the specifics of foreign strategic management, including the Western approach to management functions, analysis of the external and internal environment, strategic planning, etc.

 

“Foreign Management Experience” is an author’s course developed by Professor Giese specifically for PhD students of Turan University.

 

The module ended with the final exam. 15 PhD students of “Economics”, “Management”, “Finance” educational programs took part in this course in 2022/2023 academic year.
