MASTER CLASS – “New trends in speech recognition”

On October 06, 2022, within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Forum “Global changes: Challenges of science and education in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turan University, the Department of Computer and Software Engineering organized a master class on “New trends in speech recognition” for students of educational institutions programs “Computer engineering and software” and “Software Engineering”.

The speaker was Mamyrbayev Orken Zhumazhanovich, Deputy Director General of the RSE “Institute of Information and Computing Technologies” of the KN MES RK.

Orken Zhumazhanovich told about his project how he developed a speech recognition system in the Kazakh language that converts it into text, as well as about the Kazakh ASR system that can detect various voices and intonations, and the accuracy of the converted text is 80%.
