Practice-oriented training on the development of educational programs (EP) for new and transforming professions from the Atlas of New Professions and Competencies

From October 27 to 29, the first track of the practice-oriented training on the development of educational programs (EP) on new and transforming professions from the Atlas of New Professions and Competencies was held at Turan University. The training was conducted by experts of the company “BTS Education” – Olzhas Mamyrbayev, Marina Skiba, Serikbolsyn Nesipkamit. The participants of the training are the teaching staff of the university.

The purpose of the training is to learn how to develop innovative educational programs in the conditions of harmonization of the labor market and education, to introduce them into the educational process. At the beginning of the work, Olzhas Mamyrbayev told how the Atlas of New Professions created affects educational programs. Marina Skiba noted that new developments should correspond to the regional characteristics of universities and their mission.

The work took place in an interactive mode: participants divided into groups, formed new educational programs. Work was in full swing for three days. We managed to do a lot: the formulations of learning outcomes were worked out taking into account the specifics of the EP and the needs of the labor market; a logical and structural analysis of the content of the EP was carried out; the development of a description of the content of academic disciplines focused on the relevant learning outcomes was started; the influence of disciplines on the formation of planned learning outcomes was analyzed, etc.

The topic of the training is extremely relevant today. Despite the short period of time (only 3 days), a large amount of information was given. Pleasant, relaxed communication, the opportunity to ask questions and receive competent answers from professionals represented by experts of “BTS Education” allowed, according to the participants of the training, to get the opportunity to develop professional skills and competencies to improve the effectiveness of the academic policy of the university.

The training has not been completed, another track is planned. The result should be an innovative educational program included in the Register of Educational Institutions.
