Study trip of students of the department «Tourism and Service» to the State National Nature Park Altyn-Emel

On October 29, students of the Department of Tourism and Service of the Turan University made a study trip to the Altyn-Emel State Scientific and Technical University along one of the most popular routes to the Singing Dune. The trip took place with the support of the NGO «Qazaq Geography» represented by Yong Victoria. The students visited the Central Estate of the National Park, where they got acquainted with the exposition of a small museum. We visited the guest house with local residents, where we got acquainted with the living conditions and tasted a delicious lunch prepared by a hospitable hostess. We visited the Singing Dune, which is a natural monument of republican significance. We stopped at the Shokan Ualikhanov spring and the Oshaktas steles.

During the trip, the students got acquainted with the existing infrastructure and learned about the future plans of Qazaq Geography for the development of the Altyn-Emel National Park. In the future, the Department of Tourism and Service is expected to cooperate with Qazaq Geography in the form of students’ participation in projects, the development of thesis topics, and further employment of graduates.
