Round table “Presentation of the book “Medical tourism” by Professor Kalenova Saulesh

On November 2, 2022, a round table on the topic was held at Turan University: “Presentation of the book “Medical tourism” by Professor Kalenova Saulesh. The purpose of the round table is to promote medical services of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the international market.

The organizers of the round table were Turan University, Medical Tourism Association of Almaty, Kazakhstan Tourism Association, Kazakhstan Association of Hotels and Restaurants, Kazakhstan Marketing Association.

The participants had the opportunity to meet at the university site for professional communication and study of global trends in the field of medical tourism. The round table was a great opportunity for healthcare organizations and companies related to medical tourism to demonstrate their product and attract consumers to the free market segment. This event will serve as a platform for the development of the sphere of domestic medical tourism, which will unite industry specialists.

Emin Çakmak, the founding Chairman of the Global Medical Tourism Association, spoke at the round table, who spoke about the tools for accelerating and developing medical tourism, shared his experience in developing medical tourism in Turkey. Shaikenova Rashida, Director of the Kazakhstan Tourist Association, President of the Kazakhstan Association of Hotels and Restaurants, shared the prospects for the development of health tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan through the principles of sustainability. Amerzhan Zamira, Director of the orthodontic and implantology center Doctor Stom, spoke in detail about modern dentistry in Kazakhstan, which includes a large number of modern and innovative technologies. Nurzhaubayeva Raisa, PhD, President of the Medical Tourism Association of Almaty, described the problems and prospects for the development of the Medical Tourism Association in Almaty. Tulbaeva Aigerim, Doctor of DBA, Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism, Scientific Secretary of the REMC, spoke about the need to train specialists in the tourism industry, taking into account the direction of “Medical Tourism”. Alanov Aibek, General Director of the federal network of clinics “Reacenter” in Kyrgyzstan, official representative of the Turkish Association of Medical Tourism in Kyrgyzstan, shared the experience of private healthcare in the Kyrgyz Republic.
