Open lecture by UN Resident Coordinator in Kazakhstan Michaela Friberg-Story

On October 9, 2023, Turan University hosted an open lecture by the Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Kazakhstan, Michaela Friberg-Storey, on the topic: “Sustainable Development Goals”. The meeting was also attended by the rector of the University “Turan” Alshanov Rahman Alshanovich and the Representative of the UN Department of Global Communications in Kazakhstan Vlastimil Samek.

During the lecture, 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, priority issues of sustainable development and the role of the UN in promoting sustainable development in Kazakhstan were discussed.

Students had the opportunity to get answers to their questions about the Sustainable Development Goals. The lecture participants noted that the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN will allow states to lead to the sustainable development of all major spheres of life and the solution of global problems concerning every person in this world.
