Justice, stability and public security – the main guidelines for building a legal democratic and social state

On December 14, 2023, the international scientific and practical conference “JUSTICE, STABILITY AND PUBLIC SECURITY – MAIN GUIDELINES FOR BUILDING A LEGAL DEMOCRATIC AND SOCIAL STATE” was held at the Turan University, within the framework of SDG 16. Promoting the construction of a peaceful and open society in the interests of sustainable development, ensuring access to justice for all and the creation of effective, accountable and participatory institutions at all levels.

 

The conference was organized by the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law and the Research Institute of Law at Turan University.

 

Leading scientists from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan took part in the scientific forum.

Scientific reports present the main factors and risks of decision-making in penal policy, law enforcement practice of the countries participating in the conference, consider the limits of reforming the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of criminal offenses, and positive trends in the development of penal policy. A comparative legal analysis of the legislative framework was carried out. The discussion was sparked by problematic issues of criminal law policy and the executive system, the criminalization of certain crimes, and the implementation of the principles of criminal proceedings.

 

The results of the international scientific and practical conference of leading scientists and doctors of science showed a keen interest in the modern problem of jurisprudence and pointed to the effectiveness of international cooperation in the field of law enforcement practice.
