Students of the EP “International Relations and Regional studies” took 1st place at the XVI Republican Subject Olympiad

On May 4, 2024, within the walls of Almaty Management University (AlmaU), the XVI Republican Student Subject Olympiad was held, dedicated to current topics of “Sustainable Development and Foreign Policy of Kazakhstan”. This event brought together leading experts and young talents in the field of international relations and regional studies.

As part of the Olympiad, greetings were expressed from significant personalities:

• Vlastimil Samek, representative of the UN Department of Global Communications and head of the UN Information Bureau in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Madina Meirbekovna Esirkepova, Dean of the School of Politics and Law at AlmaU;
• Leila Fedorovna Delovarova, Dean of the Faculty of Education of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University;
• Ainar Nurgalievich, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development and ESG.

International relations students from all over the republic took part in the Olympiad, which made the event especially interesting and competitive. Olympiad results:

First of all, we want to congratulate our students on their impressive achievements. All three teams representing our university took prizes, which deserves special attention. The students from the Kazakh group, who took first place, especially stand out. This success is the result of systematic preparation and significant contributions from academic supervisors.
