Meeting on the prevention of religious extremism at Turan University

A preventive meeting with students on the topic of counteracting religious extremism and terrorism was held at Turan University.

The lecture was given by Professor of the Higher School of Regional Studies of Turan University – Mukhambedyarova A.T. and Abdrakhmanov S.M. – religious scholar and member of the information and explanatory group of the Akimat of Almaty.

The lecturers covered the key aspects of the fight against religious extremism, emphasized the importance of critical thinking and familiarized students with the main risks that can threaten the safety of society. The lecturers also spoke about the responsibility of each citizen in confronting extremist ideologies, recalling the importance of maintaining interfaith peace.

The event evoked an active response from students, who asked questions to the lecturers with interest and shared their thoughts on the topic of combating extremism.
