On May 26, the Canine Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with “Turan” University, held another event on drug prevention among youth

An educational excursion was organized for the students and faculty of the Higher School of Law to the Canine Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the theme “Together for a Healthy Future Without Drugs.” The event was dedicated to the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. During the excursion, participants learned about the work of the Canine Center, discovered interesting facts about the breeds and behavior of service dogs, as well as their capabilities in combating illegal drug trafficking. Students had a unique opportunity to get an up-close look at the work of police dog handlers and personally take part in a training session with dogs specially trained in scent tracking.

We hope that some of the students, inspired by what they saw, will one day return to the Center as professionals and dedicate their lives to service canine work and the fight against drug-related crime.
