Turan Library: Highlights of a Dynamic September

September turned out to be an eventful month for Turan Library, filled with activities, meetings, and new opportunities.

 

From September 8 to 12, guided tours were organized for first-year students of Turan College. During the visits, students learned about the functionality and opportunities of the digital library, the rules for using the reading hall, and the process of borrowing literature. They were also introduced to accessible electronic resources and special devices for students with disabilities. The tours concluded with an interactive game, where the most active participants were recognized as winners.

 

On September 10, the library hosted a creative meeting with Valery Korenchuk, a renowned photographer with an impressive list of artistic achievements. The conversation focused on his professional journey and creative experience.

 

On September 15–16, the webinar “Turan Digital Library: System Functionality and Working with Resources” was held for university staff and students. The session showcased the updated digital library, highlighted the opportunities of working with subscription-based electronic resources, and presented useful tools designed to make the learning process and research activities more effective.

 

On September 18, EDP HUB organized a specialized webinar for authors of educational literature.

 

On September 24, the new season of the AlterEGO book club officially opened. The participants discussed Haruki Murakami’s short story Blind Willow, Sleeping Womanand its screen adaptation.

 

Finally, on September 25, two webinars were held: Digital Lesson on Working with IPR SMART” and “Introduction to Urait: Content, Services, and Data for Educators. Both events were aimed at expanding opportunities for using educational resources effectively.
