The V International Online Olympiad on Finance and Digital Transformation Development “Finvision 2025”

The Higher School of Finance and Accounting of the Faculty of Economics at Turan University announces the V International Online Olympiad among students of the “Finance” educational program, dedicated to the Day of the National Currency – Tenge and to the Professional Holidays of Finance, Accounting, and Audit Specialists — “FinVision 2025.”

 

The Olympiad aims to identify, support, and encourage students who possess deep knowledge and creative thinking in the fields of modern finance, accounting and audit, digital technologies, and financial security.

 

 

Main objectives:

 

  • to develop financial and accounting literacy, analytical and critical thinking of students;
  • to stimulate interest in current issues of digitalization and security in finance and accounting;
  • to promote international academic cooperation;
  • to form a community of young FinTech experts.

 

Working languages: Kazakh, Russian, or English (at the participant’s choice).

 

The Olympiad will be held on November 28, 2025, at 14:00 (Astana time, Republic of Kazakhstan).
Eligible participants: 2nd–4th-year students majoring in Finance and Accounting and Audit.
Finalists will receive a video conference link.

 

Format: Team participation (2–3 members per team). Individual participation is allowed.
Each team appoints a captain who maintains communication with the Organizing Committee.

 

Registration must be completed via the link by November 20, 2025.

 

 

Stage I – “Financial Quest”

 

Format: Asynchronous. Participants complete tasks and send their answers to the Organizing Committee via email.

Tasks are distributed on November 21, 2025, between 11:00 and 12:00 (Astana time).

 

Stage I includes two rounds:

 

  1. A short situational case sent to the team captain’s email — assessed for reasoning, realism, and teamwork.
  2. Each team submits a one-slide proposal or a short analytical essay/infographic on a given topic — assessed for originality, logic, argumentation, teamwork, and creativity.

 

Submissions are evaluated offline (no live broadcast). Results are sent via email.

 

Materials should be submitted to olympics_2025_online@turan-edu.kz no later than 13:00, November 21, 2025.

 

Results will be announced by November 25, 2025.

 

Stage II – “FinVision Challenge” (Final)

 

Will take place on November 28, 2025.

 

Each team presents its project or analytical idea (up to 5 minutes) followed by 2 minutes for jury questions. After all presentations, the winners will be announced and awarded.

 

Project topics: Digital finance and accounting, financial security, innovations in financial and accounting technologies.

 

 

Evaluation criteria (100-point scale):

 

  • Relevance and importance of the topic – 30%;
  • Analytical depth and argumentation – 25%;
  • Creativity and innovation – 20%;
  • Quality of presentation – 15%;
  • Overall persuasiveness – 10%.

 

 

Awards:

 

  • Electronic Diplomas of I, II, and III degrees signed by the Rector of Turan University;
  • Certificates of participation for all teams completing Stage I;
  • Letters of appreciation to scientific supervisors and coordinators;
  • Special nominations: “Best Innovation Vision,” “Best Speaker,” “Ambassador of the Financial Accounting Future.”
