This is the largest tourism exhibition in Central Asia. In 2026, 24 countries and 414 companies were represented. Kazakhstan accounted for 83% of the total number of exhibitors, and 17% of the companies were from Kazakhstan. As always (this year from April 22 to 24), Turan University was represented by a team from the Research Institute of Tourism, consisting of the Institute’s Director, Professor V.N. Vukolov; staff members O.N. Demina and T.B. Berkimbaev; students S.R. Raziyev and S.Sh. Ablizova; and a representative of our institute’s public activists, E.N. Omarov.
Our exhibition space (booth) was located at the main stand of the Almaty Tourism Department. We presented tourist maps, guidebooks to the Northern Tien Shan and Zhetysu (Dzungarian) Alatau, university textbooks specializing in tourism, and monographs related to the exhibition’s specialization. Visitors were most interested in the tourist maps for these mountain regions and the textbook “Tourism and Sports Training for University Students.”
We also actively used handouts for applicants to Turan University.
