On May 16, 2026, Turan University hosted the 6th International Conference titled “China and the United States in Central Asia, the Middle East, and South Asia.” The conference was organized by the Center for Regional Studies at the Graduate School of International Relations and Diplomacy.
The event brought together scholars, researchers, and experts from Kazakhstan, China, the United States, India, the United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries. Opening remarks were delivered by representatives of the university administration and leading international experts in the field of international relations.
During the conference, participants discussed key issues related to China–U.S. interaction in Central Asia, the Middle East, and South Asia. Special attention was given to geopolitical developments, energy security, technological transformation, and prospects for international cooperation.
The conference was held in four thematic sessions that brought together academics and practitioners specializing in global politics and diplomacy. Participants presented research papers and exchanged views on the major trends shaping contemporary international affairs.
The discussions also addressed strategic partnerships, regional security, and sustainable development. The conference served as an important platform for strengthening scholarly dialogue and expanding international academic cooperation.
