The university offers three main types of exchange programs:

• ZeroGrant: A program based on agreements with partner universities, where students can study abroad for free. No payment is required for the credits earned during studies at the partner university.
• Erasmus+: A European program that offers students opportunities for study, internships, or participation in educational projects across Europe.
• Grant Funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Provides funding for studying abroad, covering expenses such as flights, accommodation, consular fees, and insurance.

The requirements depend on the chosen program:

• For the ZeroGrant program: A GPA of at least 2.7 and an English proficiency level of at least B2 (Upper Intermediate) are required.
• For the Erasmus+ program: Requirements may vary depending on the host university but usually include a good academic standing and proficiency in English.
• For the Ministry’s grant programs: High academic achievements, proficiency in a foreign language (English), studying on a state grant, and a GPA of at least 3.0 are required.

To apply, you need to:

• Fill out the application or Zero Grant application form.
• Citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan questionnaire (if you are applying for grant funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
• Provide a transcript confirming your GPA.
• Provide a certificate confirming your foreign language proficiency (IELTS of at least 5.5, TOEFL 46).
• Write a motivation letter.
• Obtain recommendation letters from professors.
• Get an enrollment certificate (can be obtained in room 305).

Additional documents and requirements may vary depending on the chosen exchange program.

It is possible to participate without an IELTS/TOEFL language certificate in the following cases:

• For undergraduate and master’s students: If the partner university accepts other official language certificates;
• For undergraduates only: If the partner university accepts the results of the Turan Independent Exam or the Europass Language Passport.

You can withdraw from participation at any stage of the competition by informing the department. Do this as soon as you make the decision so that the spot reserved for you can be offered to another student.

Exchange programs can last from one semester to one academic year, depending on the program conditions and the chosen university.

Yes, it is possible. In this case, the student independently searches for the program and submits the documents and covers all expenses, including tuition fees.

Additionally, you can participate in mobility programs as a freemover by participating in mobility programs through external grants.

Turan students can participate in international academic mobility programs under university-wide agreements (which imply that students and professors from all (or at least three) educational units/programs of Turan can participate), agreements in the interests of the branch, or special agreements.
