Turan students studied on a grant of Shanghai Summer School program, China.

In May 2021, Shanghai Polytechnic University (China) announced a competition for grant participation for undergraduate students in the online Shanghai Summer School. 5 students of the specialties “Restaurant and hotel business” and “Tourism” of Turan University successfully passed the competitive selection to study at the Summer School from July 2 to 23, 2021: Bolts Antonina, RDGB 2 course, Sadchikova Olga RDGB 2 course, Nam Regina TOUR 3 course, Appasov Akzhan TUR 3 course, Kadirkhan Arai TUR 2 course.

On July 23, 2021, the Closing Ceremony of the International Summer School was held at the Shanghai Polytechnic University (China), which was also attended by students and representatives of the structural divisions of Turan University. Head of the International Cooperation Department Kuttybaeva Gulmira made a welcoming speech and thanked the organizers of the Summer School for the opportunity given to Turan students to study Chinese language and Chinese culture. During their studies, our students significantly increased their level of knowledge of the language, got acquainted with the activities of hotels and restaurants, learned how to cook Chinese dishes. In addition, as a result of the training, students of Turan received 2 certificates: HSK Level 1 and Program Certificate.

In turn, the Director of the International Department of Shanghai Polytechnic University, Mr. Dingji, thanked for the active participation of students and staff of Turan University and offered further cooperation between our universities in the development of a Double master’s degree, Academic mobility of staff and students.
