Askar Kuanyshevich Umarov, a graduate of Turan University with a degree in Economics, was appointed Vice Minister of Information and Public Development.

Askar Umarov graduated from Turan University in 1997.

Over the years, he held senior positions in private organizations:

  • 2008-2010 — Director, Deputy General Director of Nur-Media LLP;
  • 2011-2013 — Vice-President of NAO “Turkic Academy”;
  • 2014 — Managing Director of JSC “NC “Astana EXPO-2017”;
  • 2016-2017 — President of the public foundation;
  • 2020 — Chairman of the Management Board of JSC MIA “Kazinform”
