At the invitation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on February 15, 2022, Director of the Research Institute of Law at Turan University, Professor of the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law of Turan University, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Worker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, retired Justice Colonel Akimzhanov T.K. participated in public hearings on the draft law “On amendments and additions to the Criminal, Criminal Procedure and Criminal Executive Codes of the Republic of Kazakhstan” developed by the interdepartmental group on human rights in the field of criminal justice, execution of punishment and prevention of torture and ill-treatment.
In his speech, Akimzhanov T.K. outlined and made his proposals for improving the draft law under discussion in terms of amendments and additions to the current criminal and penal enforcement legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issues under discussion.
