On March 10, 2022, the grand opening of the cinema named after Satybaldy Narymbetov took place. This event of the cinematographic world of Kazakhstan is dedicated to the memory of Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, film director, playwright Satybaldy Zh. Narymbetov.

At the grand opening of the cinema hall, relatives, students and colleagues from Kazakhstan, the USA, Kyrgyzstan, France and Russia shared their memories of Satybaldy Zhalelovich with guests and students.

At the opening, the welcoming speech was delivered by the rector of the University “Turan” Rahman A. Alshanov, the director of the “Turan Film Academy” Hakimov A.S., the sons of Satybaldy Narymbetov Iskander Narymbetov, Askar-Mukhit Narymbetov and others.

The grand opening ended with a screening of Satybaldy Narymbetov’s film “The Life of a young accordion player”.
