Practical classes of the educational program «Tourism»

On March 29 and April 01, 2022, as part of a practical lesson, students of the 3rd year of the educational program «Tourism» of Turan University visited the Travelport (Galileo) office.

Travelport Galileo International serves more than 80 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The booking system is used in more than 68,000 points of booking and selling air tickets, hotel rooms, cruise tours, car rentals. More than 500 airlines, 431 tour operators, more than 650 thousand hotels, 28 car rental companies, 9 cruise groups around the world are represented in the Galileo system.

During the field session, university students reviewed the new booking system, its functions and capabilities. Thanks to their practical knowledge in the field of electronic booking systems in tourism and service, they showed their ability to work in similar programs. And also 10 students were invited by the General Director of the Almaty office of Mr. Rizvan for free training in the Galileo booking system (Smartpoint) with further employment.
