The basketball team of the university and college “Turan” took second place in the national basketball student league 2021/2022

Competitions were held from 2 to 9 April in the city of Taraz.

The total number of teams participating in the league is 17.

The captain of the Turan basketball team is Ayan Bakibaev.

The Turan basketball team got into Yemtikhan(Емтихан) from the Almaty division, where it took second place, losing only one match out of six. But at the Yemtikhan(Емтихан)  group stage, they led group C.

In the quarterfinals, the team “Turan” could not resist the team of the MKTU named after. Kh. A. Yasawi, and in the semi-finals the team of PGU named after S. Toraigyrov was beaten.

In the final team “Turan” got the second final position.

In addition to the main rewarding of the teams, individual awards were also presented to the best players and coaches of the final, where the attacking defender of the Turan team Stanislav Sakhipov was awarded the title of “Best Defender”.
