On April 22, 2022, teachers of the Department of Tourism and Service held an intellectual game “Tourist of the XXI century” for students of 1-2 courses of the Turan College. The game consisted of 4 blocks, in the first block the speed training called the capitals of the world. The second block was devoted to domestic and outbound tourism by category: the more difficult the question, the more points for the correct answer. The third block was with open questions with no possible answers. In the final fourth block, the students acted as a tour operator, having developed a program for a trip to Georgia. During the development of the tour, the students were divided into teams, each team was responsible for a certain front of work: one team was responsible for meals during the trip, the other picked up hotels from economy class to luxury, the third team studied the most profitable ways of flights to the capital of Georgia, the fourth developed excursion programs, and the fifth team was tasked with taking into account all tourist formalities when making a tour.
Thus, in a playful way, the students learned about the functional responsibilities of the tour operator, and the teachers looked at their future students.
