Guest lecture of the Department “Jurisprudence and International Law”

On October 22, 2022, at 11:00 am, a meeting was held at «Turan» University with representatives of non-governmental organizations, students, undergraduates, doctoral students and the faculty of the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law.

Topic of the meeting: “Modern realities of the electoral process of the Republic of Kazakhstan and clarification of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

The moderator of the meeting was the head of the department “Jurisprudence and International Law”, candidate of juridical sciences, associate professor Ospanova D.A.

During the meeting, Professor, member of the staff “For Fair Elections”, Abdrasulov E.B. dwelled in detail on topical issues of the electoral process and law. Member of the headquarters, chairman of the Astana branch of the Kazakhstan Union of Lawyers, Serik Berkamalov spoke about the guarantees provided by law for ensuring freedom of elections.

The audience was greatly interested in the rules for campaigning by candidates for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and their proxies, ways to ensure equal access of candidates to publications and broadcasts in the media.

The participants noted the importance of timely clarification of the electoral legislation, expressed support and gratitude for the large-scale event held within the walls of the university.
