Training «Sustainable tourism and ecotourism» as an opportunity for professional development of teachers of the department «Tourism and Service»

On November 14-15, 2022, teachers of the Department of Tourism and Service, Associate Professor Tilekova Zh.T. and senior lecturer Turlygazieva M.N. took part in the training «Sustainable Tourism and ecotourism» organized by the Kazakhstan Tourism Association. The speaker of the training is Juris Smalinskis, an international expert, an employee of the Latvian Rural Tourism Association. The following issues were discussed at the training: how to create a sustainable tourism and ecotourism product; what successful examples of sustainable tourism and ecotourism products exist in the Baltic States, Europe; how to sell and promote products of sustainable tourism and ecotourism, etc. The teachers will use the acquired knowledge in updating the materials of disciplines on ecological tourism, tourism marketing.
