On November 30, 2022, in honor of the National Currency Day, as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turan University, the Finance Department held an International online Olympiad among students of the Finance OP “Finance of the Present 360”.
The main objectives of the Olympiad were: to develop students’ interest in future professional activity, to deepen students’ knowledge in the field of finance, to stimulate creative initiative and scientific activity of students, as well as to increase students’ financial literacy, to form a new form of thinking.
The Olympiad was held in 2 stages. At the first (qualifying) stage, essays on the specified topics, as well as video clips for the essay, were to be submitted. The second (final stage) consisted in defending students’ team projects on the general topic “Finance of the XXI century”.
36 universities from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus were registered to participate in the Olympiad.
16 universities were selected for the final stage (the selection criteria are indicated in the Information Letter to universities).
According to the results of the defense of the projects by the general decision of the jury , the places and awards were distributed as follows:
The Grand Prix was awarded to students of the North Caucasus Federal University (Russia) Milena Alexandrova, Olga Ulyanova, Tatiana Kolpikova and Yulia Dubina.
The first degree diploma was awarded to Polina Golovash, Kirill Shutov, Kamila Kalyakperova, Olga Nekhorosheva, Danara Keruenbayeva – students of the Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical Institute named after Academician K. Satpayeva.
II degree diplomas were awarded to students of KazNPU named after. Abaya (Sorbonne-Kazakhstan) – Duisebai Merey, Torekhanov Nursultan, Altybai Indira and students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – Satibaldiyev Nurbek, Uali Miras, Baktiyaruly Ali.
Diplomas of the III degree were awarded to students of the following universities:
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – Mukhamadalieva Nargiza, Valitova Karina, Kylyshbekov Damir;
NAO “M.Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University – Mikheil Anastasia, Yana Samusenko, Alina Belokon;
Sherkhan Murtaza atyndagi halykaralyk Taraz innovation institutes – Damirova Dayana, Aidarova Nargiz, Zhumabekova Aruzhan.
The team of the Eurasian Humanitarian Institute was particularly noted as the Winner for a unique project – Smagul Kurmet, Abdibekova Gulim, Malyutina Marina.
