Opening of a specialized office “Laboratory of Forensic Examinations”

On December 02, 2022, the grand opening of the specialized office “LABORATORY FOR FORENSIC EXAMINATION” took place. The main task of the laboratory of forensic examinations is to increase the efficiency of practical training, to provide conditions for conducting training sessions in the disciplines “Forensic Expertise”, “Forensic Expertise in Criminal Cases”, “Forensic Expertise in Civil Cases”.

The cabinet is equipped with the equipment necessary to demonstrate the work with physical evidence in the production of examinations using modern microscopes, comparative microscopes, devices with ultraviolet, infrared radiation to examine documents to identify various kinds of fakes and corrections in them.

Practical training of students is carried out using progressive teaching methods: practical laboratory classes, conducting various (30) types of forensic examinations such as: forensic examination of documents (forensic examination of handwriting and signatures), forensic portrait examination, forensic phototechnical examination, forensic videophonographic examination, forensic trasological examination, forensic ballistic examination.

At the grand opening of the office, a memorandum was signed between Turan University and the Institute of Forensic Examinations in the city of Almaty.
