Guest meeting “Protection of intellectual property by an entrepreneur”

The Department of Marketing and Logistics organized a guest meeting on the topic “Protection of intellectual property by an entrepreneur”.

The speaker of the meeting was Natalia Shapovalova, lawyer, patent attorney, partner of the law firm “Tukulov & Kassilgov Litigation”.

The meeting took place on April 11, 2023, in the 308 auditorium, at 16.10 h. Students of the specialty “Marketing” and teachers of the University “Turan” took an active part in it.

The guest meeting was organized within the framework of the theme “Brand protection from competitors and squatters” in the discipline “Brand Management”.

During the meeting, Natalia Shapovalova told the students about various ways to protect the results of intellectual work created in the process of marketing and entrepreneurial activities. The advantages and disadvantages of copyright, patent acquisition and trademark registration were discussed in detail. Of particular interest was the issue of registration of the logo as a trademark or copyright.

The meeting was held in an interactive format, a lot of questions were asked by students and teachers.
