Round table on the topic: PERSPECTIVE NICHES OF THE AUTOMOTIVE CHEMICALS MARKET IN KAZAKHSTAN: OPPORTUNITIES AND THREATS

On May 26, 2023, Turan University hosted a round table on Promising niches of the automotive chemicals market in Kazakhstan: opportunities and threats.

Today, Kazakhstan faces a difficult task, against the background of a significant complication of external and internal conditions, to continue further progress along the path of dynamic, inclusive, rational and sustainable development. Certain steps in this direction have already been taken, however, it will take a lot of effort to build an innovative economy based on a new technological way of life, qualitatively new material and personal elements of productive forces. Addressing the people of Kazakhstan, President K.K. Tokayev noted that “it is necessary to continue work on economic diversification, expanding the range of manufactured goods and the geography of exports.” Diversification of the national economy will allow developing a new production potential of Kazakhstan. In the era of negative trends in the world commodity markets, the driver of economic growth should be diversification aimed at reducing the country’s dependence on unfavorable export and production specialization, creating conditions for increasing exports of new, technologically more complex products and implementing import substitution processes.
