Seminar “Assessment of educational achievements of students as a type of professional activity of a university teacher”

In the framework of the “School of Pedagogical Excellence – 2024”, a training seminar for teachers on the topic “Assessment of educational achievements of students as a type of professional activity of a university teacher” was held at Turan University from January 8 to 12, 2024.

Within the framework of the seminar, organized in an interactive mode, special attention is paid to the criteria for evaluating the learning outcomes of students/undergraduates/doctoral students based on the general principles of the League of Academic Integrity.

Teaching staff of the departments “IT”, “CSE”, “RET” was conducted by the director of the scientific-research institute of Informatization of Education of the University “Turan”, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor K.S. Abdiev. In the course of the work, the problems of assessing the level of formation of professional skills of future IT specialists are considered.

Teaching staff of the departments “Finance”, “Accounting and Auditing”, “Marketing and Logistics”, “World and National Economy”, “Management”, “Business Administration” was conducted by a research professor at Turan University, PhD, Zakirova D.I.  During the seminar, D.I. Zakirova presented practical experience in the application of methods for evaluating the educational activities of students/undergraduates/doctoral students (tools, criteria, examples, samples).

The teaching staff of the departments “Jurisprudence and International Law”, “Regional Studies and International Relations”, “Tourism and Service”, “Journalism and Translation Studies”, “Psychology”, ” Language Training Center” was conducted by senior lecturer of the Department “Journalism and Translation Studies” of the University “Turan” Aldabergenkyzy L. During the work, the teachers got acquainted with the methods of evaluating the educational activities of students / undergraduates / doctoral students (tools, criteria, examples, samples) used by Aldabergenkyzy L. in teaching.

The director of the Higher School “Turan Film Academy” of the University “Turan” Naizabekov A.S. conducted training for the teaching staff of the Higher School “Turan Film Academy” and presented practical experience in applying methods of evaluating the educational activities of students/undergraduates enrolled in educational programs in the field of “Art”.
