Debate tournament “Tournaman”

On February 24-25, the annual debate tournament Tournaman was held at Turan University, in which teams from the following countries were able to take part: USA, Indonesia, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, South Africa, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan.

For 2 days, more than 150 debate game participants competed for prizes in this tournament.

As a result of the competition, 3rd place was taken by the FLEX team (USA) and Team Earth (Haileybury Almaty), members of the US, Kazakhstan, and Russian teams.

Bronze medalists received a 50% discount on 1 year of study at Turan University!

2nd place and a grant for 1 year of study at Turan University went to Eldians (the national team of Astana School, Canadian International School and Atyrau BIL).

An honorable 1st place and a grant for 2 years at Turan University were awarded to Team Air (Haileybury Almaty), members of the national team of South Africa and Kazakhstan.

We are confident that debates help students argue their position, improve their legal culture, civic engagement, and also develop the ability to think creatively and critically, and work in a team.
