Round 2 of the Turan Robostart 2024 Intelligent Robotics competition

On March 29, 2024, the second round of the TURAN ROBO-START 2024 intellectual robotics competition was held at the Department of Information Technology of the Faculty of Economics of Turan University.

 

The TURAN ROBO-START 2024 competition was held for the first time this year to identify and support talented college students and schoolchildren of grades 9-11 in Almaty. The total prize fund of the event amounted to 100,000 tenge and was carried out with the support of Baspager Printing House LLP.

 

63 people took part in the competition, including 35 school students and 28 college students. The first round of the competition was held on March 18, 2024, from 14:00 to 15:00 in the online testing format. There were 38 people who passed the next stage (20 school students and 18 college students), who scored more than 14 points out of 30 possible.

 

The second round of the competition was held on March 29 from 14:00 to 17:00 in an offline format. The participants solved 6 robotics problems for three hours using Arduino for programming.

 

The best 14 participants of the competition were awarded certificates of participants and diplomas of I, II and III degrees. In addition, they received cash prizes from Baspager Printing House LLP and Arduino boards from the Goethe Institute in Kazakhstan, as well as valuable branded commemorative gifts from Turan University.
