Team educational program “Tourism” took 2nd place in the XII Interuniversity Olympiad of students for the “Zhas Tour” cup

On April 26-27, KAZNU hosted the XII Interuniversity Olympiad of students studying in the field of “Tourism” for the “ZhasTour” cup.

Teams from more than 10 educational institutions took part in the Olympics.

From the University of Turan, 2nd year students of the EP “Tourism” Alexander Belousov (captain), Tomiris Gabbasova, Altynay Ibraeva, Valeria Kan and Egor Sanarov took part in this event.

The Olympics traditionally took place in two stages.

The first stage consisted of several rounds, where teams presented a video presentation about their university, guessed nodes, participated in a quiz, and solved test questions.

The second stage was practical. Here the teams had to go the distance with various obstacles, showing ingenuity, dexterity, courage, and determination. Participants went through a canopy and parallel crossing, climbed and descended on ropes, crossed a swamp on logs and poles, tied tourist knots and much more. All this could only be achieved by showing excellent teamwork.

Based on the results of two stages, our team can be congratulated on taking second place and silver medals!
