Scientific internship of PhD student at the peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (Moscow, Russia)

From April 15 to May 15, 2024, Urbisinova Nurgul, a second-year PhD student in the educational program “8D04201 – Jurisprudence” undertook a scientific internship at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) in Moscow. International cooperation plays a significant role in the educational process at PFUR. With 53 cooperation agreements between universities in developing countries and 65 universities from the top 500 QS rankings, PFUR holds the 295th position in the QS World University Rankings.

During the internship, Urbisinova Nurgul familiarized herself with the university’s activities and participated in scientific-practical conferences, including the 9th International Scientific-Practical Conference “The Role of Local Government in the Development of the State at the Present Stage,” Section No. 7 “Digital Transformation: Problems of Legal Regulation and Protection of the Rights of Citizens and Legal Entities,” organized by the University of Public Administration; the “Lomonosov-2024” conference, organized by the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University on “Criminal Law and Criminology”; and also took part in international scientific readings organized by the Russian University of Advocacy and Notariat named after G.B. Mirzoev on the topic “Law, Advocacy, Notariat.”

Nurgul Urbisinova conducted research in the libraries of PFUR and Moscow State University (located in Khimki, Moscow), specifically in the reading room of the dissertation department of the Russian State Library, gathering materials for her doctoral dissertation and scientific articles.

Consultations were held with the supervisor of the scientific internship, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor L.A. Bukalerova, on methodology and conducting research within the framework of scientific research. Additionally, discussions on the topic of the doctoral dissertation were held with Doctor of Legal Sciences V.I. Seliverstov and Candidate of Legal Sciences V.V. Stepanov.
