Guest lecture by Dzhienalieva Kamshat Bakytgalikyzy, head of the Museum of the History of Almaty

On December 12, 2024, a meeting was held between students of the educational program «Tourism» (gr. 222(4) and 221(4) with the head of the Museum of the History of Almaty, K.B. Dzhienalieva. The reason for the meeting was the transfer of sets of postcards «Almaty Alphabet», made by students as part of the final work on boundary control No. 2 in the discipline «Local history and museology» (teachers Ph.D. Fayzullina G.Sh., Koichubaeva D.S.). According to the head of the museum, these sets will now be actively used in the educational activities of the museum with the purpose of activating visitors during excursions.

Kamshat Bakytgalikyzy spoke about the employment opportunities for graduates of the educational program «Tourism», «Management of tourism and Hospitality innovations» in the museums of the Association of Museums in Almaty. She also shared her experience of her own career growth from the position of a tour guide to a manager, talked about the possibilities of creative realization and professional growth of young employees. The audience was particularly interested in the story about preferences in museums in the form of foreign internships and business trips, opportunities to participate in the housing program «Almaty Zhastary».
