The specialty “World Economy” is focused on the training of highly qualified international economists with knowledge and competencies in demand for work in the field of world economy and international economic relations.

 

This specialty allows you to competently analyze the foreign economic activity of enterprises and organizations, predict the development of situations on world markets, assess the prospects and consequences of international economic transactions.

Within the framework of the specialty “World Economy”, you are offered the following narrow areas of study to acquire special knowledge and skills in the field of world economy:

 

  • International trade and economic relations
  • examines the movement of prices in the world commodity markets and makes forecasts;
  • various areas of professional business services are studied (support of international transactions, selection of methods and tools for conducting foreign economic operations, implementation of business interaction with state authorities, including customs control);
  • legal regulation of international trade (removal of barriers to access of Kazakhstani goods and services to world markets, protection of the relevant markets of our country).
  • International financial and credit relations
  • servicing of foreign economic, currency and credit, financial and business activities;
  • ensuring the formation and use of information about the assets, liabilities, income and expenses of enterprises, organizations and institutions;
  • rational organization of financial and economic relations of objects.

At the graduating department of the specialty “World Economy”, classes are conducted by highly qualified specialists, including 7 doctors and 12 candidates of Economic Sciences, 3 doctors of Sciences. Every year, teachers undergo research internships, advanced training courses abroad, as well as courses to improve the English language. The main task of the team is to ensure further improvement of the level of training of competitive specialists for the global market. Employees of the department regularly take part in international scientific and practical conferences, symposiums, congresses in the countries of near and far abroad; publish articles, scientific reports, theses in scientific publications of foreign universities and other scientific centers.

 

Specialists, business coaches, businessmen and representatives of foreign companies, foreign teachers are involved in improving the practical skills necessary for rapid adaptation in the international business environment. Their practical experience, combined with theoretical, methodological, and fundamental foundations, enriches the educational process in this specialty.
