About the Center

The Center for the Generation and Innovation of Scientific Projects was established in October 2023.

 

Its goal is to enhance the university’s scientific potential through conducting scientific research, educational, and informational activities in the development of innovative, digital, and other advanced tools and technologies for their integration into the university’s work.

Tasks
  • Development and expansion of the scientific direction, strengthening of diverse connections in the field of science, new technologies, and innovative activities, as well as assistance in the practical implementation of scientific developments in areas of interest to Turan University.
  • Enhancement of the scientific potential and international recognition of Turan University through participation in well-known global projects such as Erasmus+, Jean Monnet, Fulbright, etc.
  • Preparation and implementation of various scientific projects aimed at enhancing and strengthening the scientific activities of the university.
  • Conducting scientific research based on grants provided by domestic and foreign scientific funds, institutes, and other organizations.
  • Conducting scientific research and expert-analytical developments for clients, the financing of which is carried out through competitive selection, giving priority to significant and important directions of Turan University.
Erasmus+ and Jean Monnet Projects

Jean Monnet and Erasmus projects are launched annually, and for the 2024 competition, Turan University submitted applications for 3 modules under the Jean Monnet project:

 

  1. Department of Journalism and Translation Studies, Module: “Media. Society. Power” (EU Experience in the Republic of Kazakhstan). Project participants and developers: Ibraev M.A., Buzelo A.S., Abdikarim A.
  2. Department of Jurisprudence and International Law, Module: “Development of New Models of Criminal Penalties in the Republic of Kazakhstan Based on the Experience and Legislation of the European Union and Its Implementation.” Project participants and developers: Akimzhanov T.K., Torgautova B.A., Koshkinbaeva A.S., Kemali E.S., Maksutkhan Sh., Bekbauova A., Urbisinova N., Abdikarim A.
  3. Department of Tourism and Service, Module: “Adaptation of Central Asian Countries to the Consequences of Climate Change: Practical Solutions of the European Union.” Project participants and developers: Suleimenova N.O., Sarina S.A., Abaikyzy M., Yerubaeva G.K., Cherednichenko A.V., Abdikarim A.

 

Additionally, the university is participating in 2 Erasmus+ projects selected by the European Commission:

 

  1. Formation of professional masters within the framework of modular, open, and distance learning, aimed at implementing the goals of the Paris Conference in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Project participants: Razakova D.I., Yerubaeva G.K., Abdikarim A.
  2. Development of gastronomic tourism in Kazakhstan (Gastro-Kazakhstan). Project participants: Razakova D.I., Yerubaeva G.K., Abdikarim A.

 

The results of the projects will be determined in August 2024.

 

Currently, the university is applying for a new program of the European Union – DARYA, which is the first regional project financed by the EU, fully oriented towards measures supporting inclusive skill development opportunities for youth in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan that are relevant to the labor market. The main participants from the university are the Department of Psychology represented by Abdullaeva G., Razakova D.I., and Abdikarim A.
