TURAN-INNOVATIONS

Turan University invites you to participate in the annual “TURAN Innovations” competition for the best entrepreneurial project among students and young entrepreneurs from 01.02.2025 to 15.03.2025.

 

Goal of the Competition –  increasing entrepreneurial activity and engaging youth in the entrepreneurial environment.

 

 

Objectives of the Competition: 

 

  • Popularization of entrepreneurial activity;
  • Encouraging youth to participate in the development and implementation of business projects;
  • Development of business activity in youth entrepreneurship;
  • Enhancing the knowledge and professional skills of young people in entrepreneurship;
  • Supporting youth initiatives in developing and implementing promising business projects that have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of Almaty.

 

Are eligible to participate: students, master’s students, doctoral students, and faculty members of Turan University under the age of 35.

 

 

The competition consists of two stages:

  • 1st stage – preliminary: the competition committee of Turan University evaluates the projects and decides on their admission to public defense by 01.04.2025. Participants must send their project via email (provided below) in the form of a multimedia presentation (no more than 10 slides) or video material (no more than 3 minutes). The materials should clearly describe the business project, the essence of the problem, relevance, practical significance, goals, and objectives that will be addressed during the implementation of the business project. The results of the remote selection will be communicated to the project authors via the email provided during registration.
  • 2nd stage – final: public defense of business projects before experts and selection of winners (to be held at Turan University on 11.04.2025). Based on the presentations of the competition finalists and the evaluation forms completed by experts, the jury ranks the projects and determines the winner.

 

Based on the competition results, the best teams are awarded: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Business projects that take 1st and 2nd places receive diplomas and prizes. Additionally, participants who pass to the 2nd stage receive certificates. Preliminary stage: by 20.03.2025, participants must complete the registration form via the provided link.

 

 

Additionally, it is necessary to fill out the Application Form (Appendix 1) and send it along with the project to b-i@turan-edu.kz.
