Presentation of the book by R.A.Alshanov “Secrets of the twenty Millennia: searches and discoveries” in Turkey

On June 11-12, a conference entitled “Proto-Turks bringing culture to the World” was held at the Yasar Kemal Cultural Center in Istanbul with the support of Maltepe Municipality. The conference, organized with the assistance of the Council of Turkic Peoples (Türk Halkları Konseyi), the Academy of Proto-Turks (Ön Türkler Akademisi), the University of Yeditepe, as well as the municipality of Maltepe (Maltepe Belediyesi), was attended by scientists from many countries, in particular Turkey, Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Yakutia, engaged in the research of Turkic origin.

Ali Kılıç, the Mayor of Maltepe, who delivered the opening speech at the conference, stressed that such events will serve as an appeal to the younger generation: “By organizing various forums, we set ourselves the task of building a bridge between youth and our history. Only when we understand our history will we be able to build our future. We have a chance to see what the Turks are capable of in this area. We will learn a lot from valuable scientists.”

On the first day of the conference, Professor Rahman Alshanov, the Rector of Turan University, presented his book “Secrets of the Twenty Millennia: Searches and Discoveries”, published in Turkish by Atayurt publishing house. According to R.A. Alshanov, environmental problems were largely related to space factors. They are not excluded at the present stage. Over the past decades, the scale of space exploration has increased many times, the routes of asteroids that pose possible risks to humans are being tracked. Science reveals numerous facts on the diverse effects of catastrophic collisions of the Earth with meteoroid, asteroid flows, their individual massive parts, dust flows. And when the overall picture of various events began to emerge as a whole, it turned out that the myths, legends of the peoples of the world, which seemed to be the fantasy of distant ancestors, are almost a photographic reflection of catastrophes. The seeming improbability of these events has often led to their misunderstanding. Free interpretations contributed to the distortion of perceptions, false interpretations. Verification of legends, myths, epic tales of the peoples in the latest research has become an important stage in the theory and history of disasters.

In his speech, R.A. Alshanov spoke about the Turkic traces in the Avesta and stressed that “The history of Turan should be studied very carefully. In this regard, it is important to deal with natural disasters and their connection with our history. The Turks are always depicted as warriors, but our civilization is very extensive and we need to look at the Avesta more scientifically.”

At the initiative of R.A. Alshanov, together with Mahmut Oral, the Chairman of the Council of Turkic Peoples, the steps to establish Turan Academy and a Research Center in Turkey were taken. The purpose of the creation of Turan Academy is to study and form a general concept on the history and culture of the Turkic peoples.

Mahmut Oral, the Chairman of the Council of Turkic Peoples thanked the participants and said: “Dear scientists from different parts of the world, you have responded to our call. Thank you to each of you for your contribution and work. I really want such seminars to continue to work. The final declaration of this seminar and your valuable presentations will turn into a source and will be published in the form of a book. The study and creation of a common history, as the great Ataturk said, will lead to peace with the unity of the Turks. This seminar, organized in the name of creating this millennial love, is ending with reason and science.”
